Mark is an experienced and versatile systems engineering consultant with more than 30 years’ experience in the defence domain and across systems lifecycles. Thanks to experience gained in numerous projects, programmes and acquisition organisations, such as UK DE&S, US DoD, AUS CASG, CAN DND and Dutch DMO, he has strong interpersonal skills and knowledge that help us tailor our systems engineering offering to overcome our customers’ challenges, throughout the systems lifecycle. 

In his early career, Mark supported submarine and ship combat system integration projects as part of the DE&S organisation, followed by in-service support of UK submarine platforms (SSMG). Before joining Synoptix he was Director of Engineering for the sonar product-based business, Ultra Maritime. Prior to this, he was Head of Design & Engineering for engineering consultancy BMT, which specialises in naval platform design support and services.
