After leaving school at 15 and carving an eclectic early career in music and TEFL, Dave returned to education in his late twenties, attending St Catherine’s College, Oxford. Here he studied Human Sciences – an interdisciplinary subject comprising Genetics, Demography and Evolution. Shortly after graduating, he pivoted into the engineering resource sector, establishing a successful branch office for Parkway Engineering, of which he later became MD and sole shareholder. 

Under his leadership, Parkway grew into a £10M market leader, specialising in the supply of systems engineering  personnel to the UK defence sector and, in 2011, he  incorporated Synoptix as a provider of systems engineering solutions. Since its launch, the company has steadily built an enviable reputation in its field and is now regarded as an essential partner by a growing number of blue-chip customers.

Dave will shortly be stepping across to the role of Chairman and will be spending more time focusing on a  lifelong passion for creative arts which was placed on the back-burner 35 years ago.
