Academic Outreach

We’re committed to developing the next generation of highly-trained, expert engineers through various routes.

Work placements

Our work placements include on-site work experience, internships and placement years. These placement opportunities help build and maintain links with students, universities and schools to assess the expertise that we require.

They also offer students exposure to the work we conduct and gives them the ability to develop workplace related skills for future use. As well as on-site, we offer hybrid and fully virtual placements for year 12 and up.

Schools outreach

Synoptix is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of engineers through outreach programmes in numerous academic institutions in the South West. Our STEM outreach work includes giving talks in schools that explain the different routes into engineering, attending careers fairs, conducting mock interviews, providing work placements for year 12 students and projects for university students, which they complete as part of their degree.
