RAF Digital – Combat Air and C2 Backlog
Synoptix was asked to produce architectural models for the Information DLOD owners that showed the current 'AS-IS' state and required 'TO-BE' of key capabilities across four platforms and their overarching crypto needs.
Our approach
To achieve this, we:
Facilitated customer workshops to define the question sets
Engaged with the wider user community to define the current processes and procedures
Modelled the business flow levels down to the system component level (SW & HW)
Validated the views with the customers through stakeholder meetings
Produced the AS-IS views based upon desired technology insertions
Identified gaps
Benefits
Our customer benefited from:
AS-IS and TO-BE architecture views
Gap & change impact analysis on technology insertion
Analysis of operational challenges
Identification of early integration risks, and documented current and target information architectures which can be utilised to further assess the impact of information flows from the new systems.
Our presenting the findings to wider DLOD owners
Being able to see the wider picture for the platform integration programme –and identify any challenges early to either prepare or mitigate against
